It can be a little scary if you haven’t done it before (I hadn’t done it before either).

I practiced soldering on some scrap wire before moving on to the switches. The wiring itself isn’t too bad, and you can always test your connections with a multimeter before actually soldering anything, which helps a lot.

And, soldering all of the rows and columns really prepares you for the microcontroller, which I was really nervous about.

But, if you mess up, no worries! I didn’t get it perfect the first time either!
